In the ‘30’s women had gone from a flapper look of the twenties to a more feminine style.
Hemlines dropped to ankle
Necklines were lowered and received dramatic attention. Often with wide edges or ruffled collars
Torsos were molded beneath square shoulders
Darts were replaced by soft gathers
Waists were turned to a natural waistline
